My Holiday Diary

ree

The holidays are hands down my favorite time of year. There’s just something so special about this season—wild decorations feel totally normal, Christmas music plays everywhere, and there’s this cozy vibe that makes everything feel magical. I absolutely love fulfilling your orders during this time of year, knowing that my products will be unwrapped and shared with your loved ones! It’s the best feeling ever.

Christmas has always been my favorite season, but this year looked a little different for me. And honestly? At first, I wasn’t sure how to feel about it. I didn’t have my own apartment to decorate with all the lights and garland and a tree. Not all of my family was nearby, and I wondered if it would still feel like Christmas without all the usual traditions.

But here’s what I’ve been learning: just because something is different doesn’t mean it’s bad. In fact, sometimes it’s exactly what you need.

This year, I didn’t have an apartment of my own to decorate, but I’ve been living with people who’ve become family to me. Sharing this season with them has been such a sweet reminder that “home” isn’t about the space—it’s about the people.

My little brother was able to fly home from ministry school to spend Christmas with us! I picked him up from the airport last week and have gotten to spend this week beating him in tennis (he will tell you he won, he is lying), going on Sonic runs, and catching up. He wasn't able to be with us for Thanksgiving, but that has made me appreciate that he's able to be with family for Christmas!

What I’ve realized is that blessings don’t always show up the way we expect them to. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s missing and miss out on what’s right in front of us. But this year, I’ve been reminded that joy can be found in the little things—like the laughter around a dinner table, a last-minute family reunion, or even the kindness of the people you share life with.

So, yeah, this Christmas looked a little different. But honestly? It might just be one of my favorites. If you’re going through a season that feels a little off or unexpected, I hope you’ll look for the hidden blessings. They might not look how you imagined, but they’ll still warm your heart if you let them.

Merry Christmas, friends. Here’s to finding joy in every season, no matter how it shows up. 🎄❤️

With Love,

K
